Jamppi joins ENCE, ENCE create a six man roster

ENCE have followed Astralis' decision to create a six-man roster with the addition of Elias“Jamppi” Olkkonen. Jamppi, the eighteen-year-old. will join the legendary Finnish roster for free- due to the expiry of his contract with SJ, where he had been placed on the bench in December 2019.

This move was earlier reported by the extremely reliable reporter "neL". neL tweeted that Jamppi had been practicing with ENCE instead of xseveN and that ENCE were interested in acquiring the eighteen-year-old prodigy. Jamppi expressed his gratitude in a video on the ENCE YouTube channel

Additionally, ENCE urged the Counter-Strike Professional Players’ Association (CSSPA) to investigate Jammpi's relation with a VAC ban account (which has barred Jammpi from playing in Valve sponsored events). Jammpi has already filed a lawsuit with Valve regarding the same.

 Niklas Ojalainen, GM at ENCE
“It has been a rocky road in the past few months, which has caused issues with the players mentally and affected their performance. We as an organization have to make steps towards further professionalizing the environment in a multitude of ways. Our results have been very disappointing, so changes needed to happen. Signing Elias to the team was an opportunity we couldn’t pass on and he deserves the chance to showcase his talent to the world."

With this move, ENCE have decided to change the IGL from  Aleksi "allu" Jalli to Miikka "suNny" Kemppi.

For the foreseeable future, the ENCE lineups will look like:

Road to Rio line-up:

Aleksi “allu” Jalli
Miikka “suNny” Kemppi
Jere “sergej” Salo
Jani “Aerial” Jussila
Sami “xseveN” Laasanen

DreamHack Masters Spring and BLAST Premier Qualifier lineup:

Aleksi “allu” Jalli
Miikka “suNny” Kemppi
Jere “sergej” Salo
Jani “Aerial” Jussila

Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen
