Samsung to launch mid range pop-up camera smartphone

It's been a year since the pop-up camera trend started hitting the market, with Xiaomi and OnePlus introducing us to their premium pop-up camera smartphones Redmi K20 Pro and OnePlus 7 Pro respectively. Consumers are super crazy about the water drop notch and punch hole camera smartphones since the iPhone 10 release.
With every brand introducing their variant of water drop & punch hole camera smartphones, there are brands who went innovative and introduced to us pop-up cameras. Pop-up cameras smartphones makes more room for display and doesn't create any disturbance in-between.
Although these smartphones are not cheap and are more integrated towards the mid & premium price range, Samsung now plans to get into the competition as well.
Samsung is currently working on a pop up camera smartphones. Seems like the South Korean giant is now interested in the pop-up trend and are soon going to launch a smartphones will the feature. With pop up feature getting introduced, it's quite obvious to have an all-screen design. However, there's not much information about the new smartphone design or looks, the render leaks by tipster OnLeaks, in collaboration with Pigtou, gives us the first-look and some basic insight about the display and camera module.

Samsung Galaxy A series with pop-up camera - front and back
The renders reveal triple camera setup at the back positioned vertically along with a finger print sensor placed next to it. With no in-display finger print sensor, the device seems to be focused more on the mid range series. It also sports a 3.5mm jack along with what seems like a 6-6.5inch display. The design doesn't look premium, also sports a thick chin on the bottom.
With the pandemic, it's more likely that the South Korean brand will announce the device after the worldwide lockdown comes to an end.
Will this mid range smartphone be a tough competitor against the 2019 launched pop-up king Redmi K20 Pro? The time will tell, but with the specifications and premium feel that Redmi K20 Pro comes with, it makes me more curious on what this Samsung pop-up machine brings out of the box.
